Understanding natural mechanism:Maybe a solution to lower HIV viral count.

Immune system react to every type of infection, it can be Bacterial,Fungal,Mycobaterial or viral.Immune system is a very organized body defensive force which involve receptor binding, Protein/antigen makeover for presentation, ligand binding, followed by signalling and growth of specific cells which work on the antigen.
Immune system is a very big and sensitive system which cannot be cheated easily. The steps of immune system are well defined, harmless to body with regard to low loss of body energy and no involvement of foreign protein or cells other than antigen.

Similarly immune system too has very specific and well defined steps to take during HIV viral invasion. But gradually our immune system weakens due to steep rise in the viral count and resulting in lowering of CD4+ count. But This do not conclude that the system has no answer against the viral growth.

The scientific world has been working on immunological as well as molecular biological aspect of controling HIV viral count eg:Developing plecebo for cytokines or by conducting mutations on the genes responsible for viral entry etc.
These several tests are showing positive result in lab but unable to bring any change in the human body. Government is spending billions on research arena but still answer for the problem is very tricky. This trial to aim at the bulls eye under darkness is causing a conflict of opinion between scientists and Doctors.

It is a high time for a collaboration between Scientists and Doctors. Similarly a thorough study on the activities of immune system on viral invasion should be done. In an International conference on HIV infection in Mumbai it was observed that every scientist and every Phd student was focused on either CD4+ count or molecular biotechnological approach.
Dr.Ghorpade was one of the individual who focused on the game immune system is playing with the concentration of CD8+ cells. He has observed variation in CD8+ count in the HIV patients, which raised questions in his mind on the reason behind this act of immune system.

Like wise Dr Jerome Groopman et al from England 1987 worked with 14 patients and conducted two types of experiment
1. He administered cytokine GM-CSF intravenously and found temporary rise in the WBC count but upon stopping of GM-CSF administration the WBC count fell down.
2. He administered cytokine GM-CSF subcutaneously and found rise in WBC count but upon stopping of GM-CSF administration the level of WBC did not fell. So this gave us some information in the year 1987.
Other example like: Liz Highleyman believed and found that Interleukin-7 again a cytokine administration has experienced significatly greater gains in CD4 and CD8 T-cells.
Now the question lies why these results are showing that addressing different steps of Immune activity and finding out solution from them is showing positive results? Why the counts are increasing?
Those were few of the sparks. There are several more steps take place upon HIV viral infection which need to be studied thoroughly. These entire process is natural phenomenon and answer can might be hidden in natural system.

May be instead of finding ways to lower viral particles or viral cell interaction through molecular biology techniques, why not focus on improving the WBC count or provide stability to the immune system and then allowing the immune system to take necessary action to lower the viral count.

Molecular biological ways, gene therapy are no doubt are revolutionary steps being taken in the arena of research. These methodologies too are giving answers invitro but their response invivo in Human being are feable at times. The consistency of positive response from human model is feable. This response in other words informing us about unacceptance of the above procedures by human body. Then why not understand what is the requsition of our human body system which can atleast lower the viral count.

If we focus on the broader part of the Immune mechanism and narrow ourselves down later might can help us to focus on the minutest steps and variations immune system takes and makes simultaneously to address the problems raised by invading microbes.

As the development of virus and immune system is natural and such for other endemic and epidemic disease(which are extinct now), nature itself has answers for these riddles. But development of defence against these diseases might take time but eventually it will happen, as it happened for the animals which eventually gained immunity or unresponsiveness against these diseases. Eg: Chimpanze against HIV subtypes and Pig against the Japanese Encephalitis virus.

On the way to the land of MAA DURGA!!!

Day before starting for home land to attend Durga Puja, I got the chance to read a write up of Vir Sanghvi on the land of Durga Calcutta (now called Kolkata).

It gave me a new insight about the capital of my state. I have never been to Kolkata to stay more than one or two days.So have low knowledge about the great city of love, affection and culmination of emotions.
As my relation always been with the village areas of West Bengal, so I felt that I have much knowledge about the state more than a kolkata basi.
After reading the write up of Vir Sir  all of a sudden I realised that Kolkata is all of a different culture and has its own charm.

So today I am leaving for the great city to feel its charm!!!!

Rendezvous with Pune auto walas

Autowalas!!

The moment we come across this name, some words strike to our mind:
1) High demand.
2) Wrong meter.
3) Always take long route to increase the meter value.

But there are some more exceptional ways the autowalas do use.

I have always been fascinated with the type of lie they flaunt in front of us without knowing that they are not so brilliant in doing so.

Scene 1

Once took auto from NUCLEUS MALL to market yard. Journey was good. No disturbance. He took the auto as per the directions.

Reached my place: Me: bhaiya 5.5 kitna  hua?
He: 60!
Me: Kya 5.5 ka 55 rupee hote hain! aur app 60 mang rahe ho?
He: Ap muzhe market yard bolkar salisbury park me lekar aye ho. ab muzhe market yard jana hai. 60 do.
Me: bhaiya yehi market yard hai......................

the argument went on. Despite of knowing that he was wrong he still was loud and argumentative. I could have given 5 rupee extra instead of arguing, but did not kw why something was pulling me from doing that and at last I did not give him 5 extra rupee. I did so may be because I did not want the person to gain courage to exploit any other person like that.

SCENE 2:
Night before Independence day:

Took an auto from Mukund nagar. Reached at my place. Fare was 22 bucks. I had 50 rupee. Gave him. He said take my 20 rupee and you give me your 50 rupee and go home and get 20 rupee note and then lets settle this issue.

I agreed to the fact. What am I going to loose 8 bucks. Thats it. Gave his honesty a try........................................................................

Think how much honest he could be !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WAYS OF TAKING THINGS

People come across several different situations and how they face it and overcome it is highly specific and unique.
Some group of people sign for challenge and later on when they fall prey to situations, tears cross threshold of their eye and start flowing.Later it is found "overwhelm" word describe all their problems and flood of sympathy make them feel better.
Some people are there who dream biggggggggg and when find the work challenging but non suitable for acquiring limelight, they drop the very idea of working for it.

Some group pay less attention to work and more towards socializing.

Some at the end get annoyed of the surroundings and decide to row the boat according to their own ways but goal remains the same i.e overcoming challenge.

So everyone is having uniqueness of concluding a work according to their understanding, irrespective of the matter that the said WORK needed different way of observation and different conclusion.

AT THE END IT TURNED OUT IT IS NOT IMPORTANT WHAT DOES THE "WORK" NEED FROM US BUT WHAT WE THINK HOW WE SHOULD SEE THE "WORK"

Back in Mumbai

Day before yesterday I had been to Mumbai to attend our TFI 09 fellows graduation and our end of the year summit.
The start for this journey was amazing and the entire trip has been full of surprise.
First surprise we had to get up in the non airconditioned bus during the period of summer at its peak.
Second the journey exceeded up to 6hours from 4 hours.
Third no arrangements for water or cold drinks in the auditorium.

We all felt like fools did journey for 6 hours and at the end got no water to drink.

But our amazing 09ers and kids with their awsome performances and talks took our pain and gave us immense satisfaction.
Mostly all the 10ers of us were there to stand up and give loud applause for what they believed on and what they did to bring CHANGE!

After biding adeu, we 10ners walked on our own way with much inspiration and sense of oneness for the first time.

I got the priviledge to be the guest of my best TFI friend Vikas bhai. Had amazing night to be there and talk about their class and scenerios in Mumbai.

Next day was our summit at Godreg's auditorium. It was gr8 to meet all and make some funny spoop of "Sheela ki jawani" song and to know the growth we brought upon in total.

And then bidding adeu to our friends in Mumbai returned to Pune. Love Pune as the climate is so pleasnt.
